…I had been dreading getting everything professionally cleaned: 7 large rugs, 4 sofas, 3 armchairs, a chaise lounge, 9 dining chairs, 2 ottomans, an outdoor sofa with 4 chairs, a large round outdoor daybed, several random cushions, and even a barstool! … I sent Nick some photos of everything that needed cleaning, and he responded within minutes with a very reasonable quote. He estimated that a crew of three would need about five hours to complete the job. Well, they just left, and I couldn't be happier!…

How we clean
Four steps with mobile equipment, wherever the room is. The visit takes about an hour for a typical couch, 1–2 hours for bigger pieces.

Pre-vacuuming
Starting at the top, we vacuum to remove loose dirt and debris.

Shampooing
We use the best non-toxic products, safe for kids and pets. An organic shampooing solution is worked deep into the fibers with a machine.

Steam extraction
A high-powered steam-extraction machine removes the shampoo, the dirt and the excess moisture. A special product in the clean rinse water closes the fibers, so the furniture stays clean longer.

Stain and odor removal
Remaining stains are treated with a specialized stain remover and scrubbed out, then a professional odor treatment follows. There are no fans: the furniture dries on its own, between 2 and 6 hours.

More about upholstery cleaning
What we clean
We clean fabric upholstery in your home:
- Sofas, couches and love seats, from couch cleaning
- Sectionals, from sectional cleaning
- Dining chairs, armchairs, benches and ottomans, from chair cleaning
- Mattresses, from mattress cleaning
A whole living room in one visit
Every piece has its own price and all of them are cleaned in the same visit, with the discount already in and no additional fees: a 3–4 seat couch, two armchairs and an ottoman start at $249. Tenants, landlords, property managers and short-term hosts book the same way.
What we do not clean
We clean every fabric except genuine leather: leather sofas, chairs and ottomans are not on our list. Faux leather and suede are cleaned. Furniture that has been through a water leak, a flood, mold or moth damage, smells musty or of smoke, or has had pests is cleaned too; we do not repair, re-dye or patch fabric.
How it is done
How professionals clean a couch explains the steps, and how often to clean upholstery says when a piece is due.
Fabrics and cleaning codes
Check the tag under the cushions first: W means water-based cleaning, S means solvent only, W/S means either, and X means vacuum only (cleaning codes). W and W/S suit our shampoo and steam extraction; for linen, silk, an S or X tag, or no tag at all, text a photo of the tag to (747) 214-6199 and we confirm how we clean it. A green velvet sectional is in our before and after photos.
The tag decides what may touch the fabric: cleaning codes W, S, W/S, X and D, fabric by fabric and which fabrics can be steam-cleaned explain it. All of them are in the upholstery fabrics hub.
Kids, food and drink stains
Juice, milk and food ground into seat cushions are cleaned with the rest of the piece: sprayed, shampooed with a machine brush and steam-extracted on all sides, cushions one by one. How much of a set stain comes out depends on the fabric and its age, and we make no promise; text a photo to (747) 214-6199 and we say what to expect (food and drink stains).
Guides to stain removal
First response to spills, water rings, rust and soot and old and set-in stains answer what people ask before they book. The rest are in the stain removal hub, including which stains can be removed.
Guides to odors and choosing a cleaner
How odor removal works, smoke and chemical smells and cleaning products around kids and pets answer what people ask before they book. Choosing and vetting a cleaner lists what to ask any company. The rest are in the odors and smells and hiring a cleaner hubs.

Fabric and care
Why does upholstery cleaning matter?
Daily use darkens arms, headrests and seat fronts long before a stain shows, and wiping only moves that dirt around. Extraction pulls it out of the fabric.
How often should upholstery be professionally cleaned?
Our advice: once a year for upholstery in daily use, every 6 months with pets or small children and every two years for a piece that is seldom used. How often to clean upholstery lists the signs that bring it forward.
How to care for fabric furniture every day?
Vacuum it regularly, rotate the cushions and blot spills at once rather than rubbing. Couch and upholstery care has the detail.

WATERFALL, (747) 214-6199, cleans natural-fiber upholstery, a couch from $130. Text a photo of the tag and the piece and we confirm how we clean it.
